Everlight continues monochromatic LED development20-07-2017
Everlight has announced to continue its development of monochromatic LED with special wavelengths for special application in agricultural areas such as animal and plant domains.

Monochromatic LEDs have been increasingly used in agricultural lighting in recent years due to its efficiency and ability to meet special requirements with customized light spectrum and optical functions. Everlight continuously has developed wavelengths with the range of photosynthetic active radiation (PAR) of 450 to 730 nm for various applications in this area.

Everlight’s LEDs have been designed at different power values in order to match different lighting challenges. High power 3535, mid-power 3030 and low-power 2835 LED offer a complete portfolio. As for horticultural lighting, the most widely-used product is the high-power LED 660nm unit which can penetrate plants with an excellent value of 4.777 PPF (Photosynthetic Photon Flux). The latter measures the photosynthetically active photos emitted by a light source per second (s). As Everlight states its PPF values belong to the top in the industry.

Everlight’s developments however do not only target animal welfare and plant growth within agricultural areas. Also the human-factor is considered which focuses on the human well-being while working under specific conditions in agricultural surroundings. An important factor to achieve these aims are not only the customized wavelengths, but also customized phosphor solutions as Everlight finally stated.sm.
