As Signify has released on its website, the company has acquired the two animal lighting specialist companies Once and iLOX to strengthen its agricultural lighting business. The transactions are expected to close in the second quarter of 2019. Signify did not reveal financial details about the transactions.

Once is an US-based based lighting manufacturer which provides lighting systems for agriculture applications, particularly for livestock. Once Inc. was founded in 2009 and signed an agreement to acquire Germany-based iLOX in 2018, adding sales and service capabilities outside the US. The companies design and manufacture tailor-made lighting systems to improve the quality of life for livestock, leading to healthier and enhanced production.
